When it comes to education, we strive to carry more than just 'books'. We want to supply inspiration!

If your child likes space - we want them to be able to blast off on their journey into the great unknown by taking the first step themselves!

Our deliberate educational supplies (as opposed to all of our accidental educational supplies - don't worry, your child doesn't have to know when they're learning by 'accident') are handpicked in hopes that your child will WANT to learn more about the subject matter!

Your little one like dinosaurs? We've got books, dig kits, microscopes, and even fossilized fish earrings!

Want to learn about history? Along with age appropriate books your child can take a deep dive into our board game section!

The STEM label isn't needed to make our inventory educational!

There's so much to play in our arcade and playroom!

• Skee ball
• Air Hockey
• Arcade basketball
• Construction and imaginative play toys for younger tots including wooden train table and magna tiles!

Rates:

• First 30 minutes of play are $5 per person 
• Additional 30 minutes are $3 per person
• One adult free when accompanying kids
• Check in at the counter when you want to start playing. No quarters needed, you pay for the time, not by machine!

We ask that you keep all food and drink outside the playroom and be gentle with the machines please!

Group rates:

• Weekdays (Monday - Thursday) - $50 per hour
• Weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) - $75 per hour
• Our play room can comfortably host 15 kids with room for their grownups.

FAQs

Can we bring food and drinks? 

• Yes! What would a birthday party be without a birthday cake? We will provide table space outside the play room for all your snacks. We do ask that you make sure that all food and drink stays outside of the playroom as our arcade machines do not handle spills well.

Can I decorate?

• Certainly! But please clean up when done.

What does the group rate include?

• Booking a party with the group rate covers the game room fees for your group for the allotted amount of time. It does not guarantee that you will have private access to the play room as it is a community space and customers' only access to the restroom facilities.

How do I book a party? 

• You can call us (540-252-4031) or stop in to the store during business hours. You can email us (best email address here?) or message us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/weplayfaves) anytime. Reservations are confirmed once deposit is made.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

• We ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your party date.  No shows with no notice will forfeit deposit. We'll work with you to make it work so long as you communicate with us!

Inspired by Ms. Frizzle of Magic School Bus fame, a local biology teacher found a love of crafty nerdy earrings to relax! That is how Salamanderings was born.

One of the most magical things about Play Favorites is that it's okay to be be a kid here, no matter your age!

Just because you are up there in years doesn't mean that you've 'outgrown' any of our products. We strive to find toys games and puzzles that are great for all ages and bring people together.

Be it something classic or something new - come and visit and see what might be a great gift to help your elder loved one stay mentally fit!

We play to learn and to have fun. We can play to win too, but not at expense of the former two!

Monday and Friday Family Game Nights are what they sound like - bring the family, or friends, a date, or just yourself, and join in on some board game fun! If the kids aren't into board games, they can play in the arcade while parents join the board game groups.

Tuesday is free arcade night from 5-7pm. Children should be supervised.

Wednesday Creator Collaboration is a night of ideas, teamwork, and networking! Accomplishing that takes planning - so we will keep you posted when game creators are going bring their ideas and prototypes to try out and local game lovers can give some constructive criticism. Have a game you want tested - let us know!

Thursdays are reserved for more traditional games like Scrabble, Backgammon, and Mahjong. Don’t know how to play? Come learn with us!
